Excellent shopping and dining surrounds Silver Lakes. Conveniently located close to the northern end of the community is Laguna Isles Plaza with a Publix grocery store on Sheridan Street. For shopping convenience close to the central area of Silver Lakes, you will find Super Wal-Mart and Sedanos Plaza. These outlets are located on Pines Boulevard. Towards the south, two more centers are Target Super Center and Park View Square, both on Miramar Parkway and includes a Winn-Dixie grocery store. For a complete shopping experience with many nationally recognized outlets, visit The Shops at Pembroke Gardens. This distinctive mall is located on the eastern side of I-75.

The area surrounding Silver Lakes is home to some of the finest restaurants and eateries. Parks and Recreation

Silver Trail Middle School is Home of the Mustangs and Glades Middle School is a six time achiever as an 'A+' school. Transitioning from middle school to high school is an exciting time for students whether they attend Everglades High School, home of the Gators, or West Broward High School, another 'A' school.
